Loving Lately…

Life at the beach

Don’t you just love when every day during the week when you wake up the sun is shining and it’s beautiful out…then you wake up on a Saturday and the marine layer is nice and thick and hasn’t burned off? Yeah, me neither. I guess that’s the price you pay living close to the beach. Hopefully it burns off soon, weather.com tells me it’s supposed to hit 82!

Here are a few things I’ve been loving this week (and some for a little longer):

New York is Always a Good Idea

I’ve been really missing the Boyfriend and the distance has been tough this week but more on that later. I have been meaning to start on a gallery wall in my bedroom and I think this Audrey Hepburn print needs to happen. I’m just debating on the color choice. The black is a little too strong for what I have in mind. Nonetheless, I still love the print.

heirloom tomatoes

Love & Lemons pinned this photo on the Whole Foods group board ‘You say Tomato, we say Heirloom Tomato‘ (which I didn’t even know was a group board until now) and I love it. I was just at the farmers market last weekend and picked up a few but had no idea what the differences were between all of the varieties. Now I know for future trips!

bedside table

New project on my long list of things I want to do is to create the perfect bedside table setup. Right now it’s a bit of a mishmash of sorts but it works for the time being. Style Me Pretty Living did a feature on Amber Interiors Home Tour and this picture (one of many) caught my eye. Love the simplicity of this table.

Freebird by Steven

These boots. I haven’t been able to get these beauties out of my head since I saw them months ago at Nordstrom. With fall creeping up on us, they’ve been on my mind again. I just can’t justify the price. Even the “sale” price. Sadness. So, I’m on the hunt for an affordable look alike. Wish me luck!

fig almond breakfast cake

Cake for breakfast? Yes, please! A favorite of mine, Joy the baker, made this delicious looking Fresh Fig and Almond Breakfast Cake. My mouth is still watering for her photos.

Glitter Guide Mackenzie Horan

And last but not least, Glitter Guide‘s feature on Design Darling‘s Mackenzie Horan adorable studio tour. Seeing a 300 square ft. apartment (yes, you read that right) look as good as hers gives me hope and inspiration for future tiny apartments I may be living in. The blues, the whites, the pops of pink – amazing.

Enjoy the weekend, friends!
