Sunday's Best //

Knowing you have one more day to your (long)weekend is a great feeling. This past week was a normal work week with a lot of runs sprinkled in. I’m officially one month into my half marathon training. I’m feeling confident with where I am at right now. I’m finally back into the “I actually like running. This feels good” mindset. This weekend is Fiesta Hermosa so, there are LOTS of people in our tiny beach community. It’s actually a fun time to people watch, look at the vendors and listen to some live music. A dear friend of mine came up to visit yesterday and I showed her around. It doesn’t hurt that the weekend weather has turned out to be perfect. I plan on getting some more relaxing in this weekend, catching up on my Feedly, and doing just a little bit of work. What do you have planned?

While you’re thinking about the rest of your weekend plans, here are some links I’ve been reading this week:

Reese Witherspoon brought back Elle Woods for a great cause, #TeamWill. After the millions of times I’ve watched it, I still love Legally Blonde. I’m sure Elle Woods had a little something to do with my attraction to law school when I was younger. So, this video holds a special place in my heart and it is just incredibly sweet.

Have you heard about the giant moving rocks in Death Valley? These rocks, weighing up to 200 pounds, somehow move along the lake bed leaving trails behind them. It seems that Scientists may have solved the mystery of the “sailing stones”.

More on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and Pete Frates: Brian Boyle of the Tampa Bay Lightning inspired by his friend’s role in the challenge.

This summer tomato & burrata fettuccine recipe by Cupcakes for Breakfast is on my list of things to make. Summer may be coming to a close but the warm weather doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and what’s better than an easy and quick dinner recipe on a warm night? Not much, that’s what.

And last but certainly not least, this Blueberry-Herb Lemonade Punch. It sounds (and looks) so refreshing. Add some vodka or your favorite light rum to spice things up a bit.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!
